This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the legal bases for processing, your rights, and the choices you have. It applies to freightplus.io, the FreightPlus One platform, our email communications, and any services we provide, collectively the "Services."
By using the Services, you acknowledge you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly. When you submit a form, request a quote, schedule a meeting, create an account, contact us, or engage our Services, we collect information you share. This typically includes your name, business email, business phone number, company name, job title, mailing address, freight program details, and any content of your messages.
1.2 Information collected automatically. When you visit freightplus.io or use FreightPlus One, we automatically collect technical information including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, pages viewed, time and duration of visit, clickstream data, and geographic location inferred from IP address. This is collected through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies.
1.3 Information from service delivery. When you become a customer, we collect operational information in the course of providing managed transportation services. This includes shipment origin and destination addresses, references, carrier selections, tracking events, invoice and rate data, BOLs, PODs, accessorial charges, claims data, and related logistics records.
1.4 Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from third parties, including business contact databases, credit reporting agencies, marketing partners, public sources, carriers, and customers who provide information about their points of contact.
2. Categories of Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA)
In the twelve months preceding the Effective Date, we may have collected the following categories of personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address, account identifiers)
- Customer records (business contact information, billing address)
- Commercial information (services inquired about or purchased, transaction history)
- Internet and network activity (browsing and interaction data on our Services)
- Geolocation data (general location inferred from IP address)
- Professional or employment-related information (job title, company, industry)
- Inferences drawn from the above (preferences, characteristics, behavior)
We do not knowingly collect "sensitive personal information" as defined by the CPRA (such as government IDs, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, genetic data, biometric data, or health data) outside of what is necessary to perform the Services.

We do not sell your personal information as "sale" is defined under CCPA/CPRA or similar laws. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

- Service providers who help us operate the business under written confidentiality and data-processing agreements (hosting, email, analytics, CRM, billing, support, and professional advisors)
- Carriers and logistics partners when necessary to execute freight or fulfill service obligations on your behalf

We use reputable third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy. Key providers include:
- Google Analytics 4 for website traffic analytics
- Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and behavior analytics
- Brevo for transactional and marketing email delivery
- Fluent Forms for contact and quote form submissions
- Calendly for scheduling meetings with our team
- WP Engine for website hosting
- Bing Webmaster Tools and Google Search Console for search performance

8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce agreements. General retention guidelines:
- Inquiry and prospect data: up to 24 months from last interaction, unless you opt in to further communications
- Customer account and shipment records: duration of the customer relationship plus seven years thereafter, or as required by law
- Website analytics data: 14 months by default
- Marketing preferences and suppression records: indefinitely, to honor opt-outs
- Financial and tax records: as required by applicable tax and accounting laws
9. International Data Transfers
FreightPlus is headquartered in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. We rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, including Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, where required. By using the Services, you consent to these transfers.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
10.1 California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share)
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive categories in ways requiring this right)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights
- Designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf

10.4 How to exercise your rights. Email info@freightplus.io with your request. We will verify your identity before fulfilling the request, typically by confirming information we already hold. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45 days under CCPA, extendable once by 45 days; 30 days under GDPR, extendable once by 60 days). If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
11. Marketing Communications
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or by contacting us. Operational messages related to active services will continue, as they are necessary to perform our agreement with you.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, vendor due diligence, and employee training. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
13. Children's Privacy
The Services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
14. Automated Decision-Making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Our AI-native technology assists our human operators and does not replace human judgment for customer-impacting decisions.
15. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. If changes are material, we will provide notice, such as by email or a prominent notice on the Services.
